so i guess i've pretty much given up on the recaps. i think i've just been having too much fun to care too much about stopping for a moment to write about it. does anyone even read this anymore? anyone? bueller? haha. i figure the "inner circle" knows what's going on anyway.

let me just say that i had a GREAT time at my birthday party thanks to my AWESOME friends!! those kids can really make a girl feel special. awwww.

also, in the past two weeks or so since the last post, i've gone to see billy corgan at the henry fonda (which was really good...i CAN'T WAIT til the pumpkins come back!!!), royksopp and basement jaxx at the hollywood bowl (another great outside summer show at the bowl), and just last night i FINALLY saw a proper beck show. oh, beck! i heart you. it was fucking awesome! everything i dreamed of and more. haha. it was a lot of fun, with some crazy stage antics going on and a really fucking great acoustic version of "debra." oh, so good!! and our seats were actually pretty good, so jen and i had a great view of our beloved beck. yay!

and coming up next week is street scene! i'm excited about the bands i'll be seeing although i wish the timing on this thing was a little different. i'll pretty much get back from that to immediately leave again for my boston/ny trip. i'm excited about both trips although i feel weird about being gone from home for three weekends in a row. oh well, i'm sure i'll be over it by the time i'm shopping at h&m with my birthday gift certificate!! yesss!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

yes, i am officially old. but hey, yet another excuse to party. yay!!

thanks to all you guys who have sent happy birthday wishes my way!! it has been a lovely day indeed. and i'm excited for birthday bowling tonight! haha...by the time this is over, i think i will have accomplished a full week of birthday celebrating, a la joe style. last weekend's events weren't officially for my birthday, but it kind of all runs into each other. tubing on sunday was a LOT of fun (despite the joe incident), and i didn't totally bite it in the rapids like i did last year (although i still had a few problems at the end getting out). but still, good times! and then monday was another beer pong bbq! with fireworks! how can you go wrong?!!! tonight is bowling, and then saturday is the big birthday bash! woo-hoo! lots of good stuff. it's the big 2-5, ya know? gotta do it BIG! =)
